Frustrated About Your Poor Gift Wrapping Skills? These Hilarious Fails Will Make You Look Like an Expert Elf

Generally, the holiday season is a period of rush; we hit stores for last-minute gifts and forget things a lot. However, amid this rush, wrapping Christmas presents is one aspect that we have to settle down for, and it’s still frustrating many people the most. From not getting the right size of wrapping paper to using ridiculously obvious wrappers, these wrapping fails will show you that you’re not alone.

No wrapping was done here

Although we’re accustomed to the regular wrapping paper that we can just roll and manipulate in different ways to cover and design gifts, some gifts don’t need to be wrapped. That’s probably what this person thought.

Truly, there’s probably no reason to wrap a bottled drink with nylon. But wrapping it in a stocking? Far more hilarious! The ribbon around the stocking looks like it’s jesting whoever owns the gift. At least the card was decent.

Well, a box is a box

Some gifts don’t need wrapping papers. But then, the ridiculous things some people use in covering Christmas gifts will make the receiver wish the gifts weren’t covered at all.

Whatever is inside this box, we’re sure it’s not a smoothie maker. As if it wasn’t bad enough that the gift box was a borrowed one, this person taped the top like it was a joke. Who says thank you after receiving such a plastered box?

At least the names were crossed

Have you ever received a gift that made you wonder if the giver gave you out of good or bad intent? We’re quite sure that’s how whoever received this gift felt when they got it.

The red wrapper-ish thing covering this gift makes it look creepy, even though it’s a valid Christmas color. The Scotch tape around it is another story- from the cancellation to the irregular design, it’s a tacky job. Well, the crossed names probably depict love or so.

White paper has always been a multipurpose lifesaver

Generally, plain sheets are quite versatile when it comes to serving this purpose. They can be used to wrap different objects on different occasions- except Christmas gifts. Well, this person decided to try it.

Writing wrapping paper all over the makeshift paper– that is obviously not wrapping paper makes us assume the gifter has some sense of humor. It would have been better if this person had left it plain, don’t you agree?

Every mistake is a design

Art is very expressive, so we don’t have to be rigid when designing things- we can be creative and spontaneous. However, some ‘creative’ attempts make us wonder what the person was thinking.

Apparently, the wrapping paper was insufficient to cover this Christmas gift. Then, this person decided to use brown paper and even draw polka dots to ‘match the design.’ This person paid attention to the sizing of the circles- and it’s still a hilarious cover!
