These Movies Were Too Good To Have Been Nominated For The Razzies

It’s no secret that sometimes film critics have no idea what they’re doing. Some movies that are now considered must-watches weren’t recognized for their greatness when they first came out. A few were even nominated for Golden Raspberry Awards, better known as “Razzies,” and for absolutely no reason. Seriously, though, it’s hard to believe anyone would think that Stanley Kubrick deserved a nomination for worst director. No, we’re not kidding. We all have personal favorites that the industry tends to underestimate, but in this list, you’ll find films that almost everyone can agree didn’t deserve the criticism they got.

Big Daddy (1999)

Adam Sandler has been consistently underestimated throughout his career. The fact that he spends most of his time making dumb movies often leads people to believe that everything he does is trash. That’s why some of his films have been labeled “bad” when they’re not.

Big Daddy is the perfect example. It was nominated for a Razzy award, but we think it’s one of Sandler’s most heartfelt performances. The movie has a potent emotional core and a solid script, so we don’t understand why it was trashed so badly.
