Before their Thanksgiving dinner, the Gellers decided to participate in a football match. The match depicts Monica’s competitive nature as it also marks the first Thanksgiving match they played after she broke Ross’ nose.
“The One Where Chandler Doesn’t like Dogs” (Season 7, Episode 8)
If you’re a “Friends” loyalist, you’ll understand why this episode must be on the list of the best Friends-giving episodes. Aside from Chandler’s funny comments and his obvious dislike for Thanksgiving, this episode features something more dramatic.
In the episode, everyone tries to cooperate in keeping the fact that Phoebe has been hiding a dog in the apartment from Chandler, who dislikes dogs. Another hilarious part is where Ross won’t eat until he mentions all 50 states off-hand.

Relationship problems and revenge schemes aren’t new plot twists as far as “Friends” is concerned. However, this episode stands out as one of the best Thanksgiving-themed episodes because of how uniquely hilarious it is.
Monica has a very awkward run-in with her old boyfriend’s son, Tim. The funniest part was when Joey made Chandler stay locked in a wooden box for six hours; trust Chandler to make funny comments from the box for hours.
“The One With the Late Thanksgiving” (Season 10, Episode 8)
Speaking of Friends-giving episodes that we can totally relate to, this episode is one of the most memorable. It shows us the real hassle we all face during Thanksgiving– trying to get home on time.
In this episode, Chandler and Monica decided to lock Ross, Phoebe, Michael, and Joey out because they arrived for Thanksgiving dinner an hour late. Joey’s head gets stuck while they peek through the door– and he ends up falling and crashing into the elaborate Thanksgiving dinner.
“The One With All the Thanksgivings” (Season 5, Episode 8)
This Thanksgiving-gone-wrong episode takes the crown for the most genuine, hilarious, and relatable episode. The crew members recount their worst holiday experiences in this funny series of throwbacks.
This episode shows us why Chandler dislikes Thanksgiving; his parents announced their divorce at the dining table. There was also the funny flashback of Joey and Monica with a whole turkey stuck in their heads.
